Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A hybrid cross of P. bulleyana and P. beesiana, the result is a tough perennial with Chinese heritage; rosettes of attractive foliage give rise to 18-24” stems with tiered whorls of red, purple, salmon, cream and everything in between! Blooms late spring to early summer in part shade (sun in cool zones) & perpetually moist decent soil (wet ok). Reseeds and naturalizes, very showy! Mulch to keep moist, low maintenance, deer resistant.
Just about any color in the rainbow is possible on these vigorous hybrids with tiers of flowers to almost 2' high varying from red to salmon to pink to apricot to soft lavender so it will be a showy surprise next year for you. Loves a moist rich soil - this is easy and rewarding.
