Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Lavender flowers etched with contrasty deep purple veining float above felted silver green foliage in April, May. Polite perennial at 12” tall and 18” wide, that enjoys sun to part shade (does not appreciate late afternoon sun or reflected heat), most decent garden soils with average moisture... also works in the rock garden. Attracts bees, butterflies and resists slugs and snails. Humidity tolerant. GREAT PLANT PICK for the PNW!
An outstanding hybrid with an extended season of bloom and large bluish-purple flowers marked with deeper veins. ZONE 4
A mound forming, evergreen perennial. Softly haired, blue-green, lobed leaves are held on slender stems which arise from a clumping rhizome to form a dense mound. Throughout the warmer months, saucer shaped, blue-purple, with darker veins, flowers are freely produced on slender branching stems. Dead head to promote flowering.

Similar to G. renardii (one of its parents) with large, quilted, medium-green leaves. The spring and summertime flowers however are deeply notched and bluish-purple with dark central veins. Grows to 15" high with a slightly wider spread.
Compact plant with most excellent textured foliage and good sized medium violet flowers. Or at least my interpretation of medium violet but I've been accused of not having a full ocular complement of rods and cones but it's not pink and it's not purple. Excellent in the garden.
