Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Discovered in the forest on the Mountain of Stammheim, Northeastern Switzerland by Matthias Thomson of Germany, a truly remarkable plant with 3" flowers. Prefers moist, humusy soil but tolerates drier soil in summer as they are then dormant.
A newer selection from Switzerland and introduced to this country by Edelweiss Nursery. This is a bracteata type with frilly flowers composed of many narrow petals and colored bracts of lavender to white. This is a vigorous clone and will give a good show in the shade garden.
