Blooms: spring, yellow/ bronze new foliage, evergreen Zone 4-9. 18", Iran, part shade-shade, moist, well drained.
Delicate yellow flowers, fairly low growing, about 12" tall.

Salvaged from Leo Hitchcock's estate (revered icon on NW botany), this is one durable perennial for shade or some sun. Tough green evergreen oval leaflets (we cut the leaves back in spring to better see the bright yellow flowers) makes a dense patch. Tolerant of dry shade. Spreads 6"/year.
