Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Evergreen rosettes like a huge Ramonda give rise to 1' stems of blue or pink mint like flowers. This showy plant is unique, indeed they even gave it its own genus and you know how much we like monotypic. Zone 5
Love it, love it, love it. An uncommon perennial that smacks of Salvia with its broad distinctive foliage and striking 16" spires of rich purple flowers in spring. I dunno why exactly but this always floats both of our boats when this blooms. Sometimes best to just let the mystery be.
