Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Wow!! Haven’t seen this plant for sale for years. This extraordinary plant is glorious. This trillium has double white flowers that look like a gardenia. Please only one per customer.
Trillium grandiflorum 'Flore Pleno'/'Plenum' is the spectacular, very rare, fully double form of the eastern North American snow trillium which resembles a delicate white rose or camellia sitting on top of the tripartite foliage. Stunning! Flowers open pure white gradually fading to pale pink. Double flowered forms of trilliums, since they don't have any reproductive structures and thus don't get pollinated, often bloom for a longer period than regular trilliums. Large, blooming size rhizomes. Trillium are exquisite plants for the shade garden blooming in early to mid spring with their elegant flowers. They are spring ephemerals that may go dormant by summer. Keep in mind that they may go dormant early in the year they are first planted and could sulk a bit in their second year before settling in for beautiful displays for years to come.
Blooms: spring, Double petal variation, rare in cultivation, propagates by division only/ trifoliate foliage Zone 6-9. 12"-24", Eastern NA, part shade-shade, moist, well drained.
This is the double that locally folks in the know associate with Jerry Flintoff. Outrageous double like a high school prom Gardenia. Vigorous clone rapidly multiplying by offsets (which is good since it is sterile). A plant to upstage anything your friends might have.
