Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Paris quadrifolia is a lovely Trillium relative from the Himalayas, Western China, and southeast Asia. The stem is circled by a whorl of four bright green leaves which is echoed by the flower with its own whorl of four green bracts subtending threadlike green petals, yellow stamens and a black ovary. The flower produces a single, long-lasting, blue berry that looks like a blueberry but is inedible. Plants are rhizomatous forming nice colonies fairly quickly.
A European Trillium relative that forms small colonies in time by creeping rhizomes. Four-parted leaves and artistic greenish flowers which later give way to a black knob of seeds which are attractive in their own right. Fresh divisions from our mama plant.
