Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Dodecatheon pulchellum 'Red Wings' forms loose umbels of glowing magenta flowers with reflexed petals and white and yellow highlights around near-black stamens rising above a small clump-forming rosette of long oval leaves. Best in rich soil and part shade appreciating moisture in spring and drier soils in summer when plants go dormant. Native to western North America including BC.
Simply smashing! Intensive magenta flowers with a white ring at the base. Lush green leaves and red-infused stems add contrast. Likes moist in spring and dryer in summer when it is dormant.
Nice seed-grown strain of the species with magenta red flowers set off by a white ring at the petal base. The taxonomists have moved Dodecatheon to the genus Primula but I'm an old fart and I'm not gonna do it! Moist in the spring and tolerant of drier summers when dormant
