Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Compact EG shrub to 4' with beautiful rose-red and white blooms in spring; fine bright-green needle-like foliage covers graceful branches. S/M
Oft-used shrub up to 6' tall and 10' wide with narrow, prickly-pointed leaves and clusters of pink and white flowers that bloom for weeks in early and mid-spring. Best with moderate water in the dry season; plant in full sun and well-drained soil.
I'm not sure who coined that common name, but it seems appropriate as this is probably the most commonly planted Grevillea in the Golden State. A low-growing, prickly creature, it actually looks better in the Northwest where it makes comparatively lush, dense growth. The narrow, dark green leaves and bright orange-red flowers recall those of Grevillea 'Canberra Gem', but the branches are weeping, giving the plant a softer appearance. It is also more compact than 'Canberra Gem', usually growing to no more than 4' tall and a little bit wider. Hardy to about 15 °F.
