Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A small growing, evergreen shrub. It's dense habit, tolerance of light clipping and moderate growth rate, make it ideal as an edging for paths and gardens, and as a replacement for small box hedges. Once established it will bear short racemes of lilac-blue, saucer shaped flowers in abundance from Spring to Summer. For well drained soil.A very unusual looking Hebe, you would swear that it's some kind of dwarf conifer, except that it's a lot quicker growing.

This small mounding shrub has leaves so small that the plant looks like a mass of little blue-green stems. It may eventually reach 2' tall and produce white flowers, although the flowers are rarely seen. It is one of the easiest of the whipcord Hebes to grow and hardy to at least 5 °F. Rock gardens. New Zealand.
