Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This very dense little New Zealand shrub daisy is grown much more for its glossy, brownish green, undulate- margined foliage and tomentose (fuzzy) undersides than for its summer tiny yellow flowers. Handsome in the garden reaching to 5 ft or so. Prefers full sun and regular summer water. The hardiest parent of the Dunedin Group; frost hardy in upper USDA zone 7.
B. monroi s a small rounded shrub with olive green, oblong, crinkly-edged leaves, white-felted beneath. Bright yellow , daisy-like flowers are borne in large, branched clusters.
Of the many fabulous daisy-shrubs from New Zealand, this species is among the most rewarding, adaptable and easy to grow. It forms low mounds of crinkly-edged foliage, dusky grey-green above and felty white on the undersurface. Yellow daisy flowers are occasionally seen. It will be happy in full sun and tolerates most soils. Happiest in maritime climates; hardy to about 10 °F. Shrub to 3' and wider, evergreen.
