Nursery contributed plant descriptions

We were given fruit of this Viburnum species growing in the UBC Asian Garden and were so smitten by it that there was no need to write the name on the bag. Oh Gods, when will we learn? Know that this stood out out in a garden of stars and try to forgive us.
Not totally sure what we have here but we have it narrowed down to either V. cinnamomifolium or V. propinquum, which are both cool anyways. I propagated this because it was large, impressive, and treelike; and had deep green leaves that looked flawless in the middle of winter amidst all the usual gloom and frost/rain damage one sees on many other plants in a typical Seattle winter. It is yet another of many broadleaf evergreens that deserves to be more widely grown in the Northwest and beyond. Eventually to 12' tall with attractive white spring flowers, autumn fruit, and hardy to at least 0 °F.
