Nursery contributed plant descriptions

In 1990 nurseryman Mike Lee ordered seed of this species from a Welsh nursery that selects exceptionally cold hardy forms of various eucalypts—and was impressed when this one endured Seattle's landmark freeze of 1990 in a pot!!! Seed collected from this very same tree should result in trees hardy to at least 0 °F. It is an attractive tree with a rather open habit, small pendulous deep green leaves, and will grow vigorously to at least 50'. It will also tolerate waterlogged soils.  DS.
