Another fun reason to grow this tree is for the cider that can be tapped from the trunk…mmmm! This collection comes from a beautiful tree in Seattle with smaller leaves and a more spreading growth habit than usual. It is also quite large and has stood up to some very cold winters—it should be hardy to about 5 °F.
