Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Callistemon sieberi is one of the hardiest bottlebrushes, if not THE hardiest. It comes in many forms, but is always a small shrub with showy cream colored flowers and narrow leaves. This plant is probably a form of C. sieberi but I can't be absolutely certain. It was originally collected as C. viridiflorus, which it clearly is not. It has narrow leaves, showy yellow flowers, and may reach 4' x 4' eventually. Thanks to the late Jim Gerdemann for sharing this plant from his extensive collection. Hardy to at least 0 – 5 °FF.
