    Callistemon linearis [G. G. form] is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In summer red flowers emerge followed by brown fruit. Attracts bees and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in clay and well-drained soil.

    Callistemon linearis is a rather variable species in form and habit, but all have screaming bright red flowers in early summer. This particular form has a strongly upright habit (to 4 – 5'?) with short, narrow leaves, resulting in quite a distinctive look. Thanks to George Guthrie in Bandon, Oregon for sharing this from his collection of cool plants. Hardy to about 10-15 °F.
