Large beautiful tree with rich blue-green foliage. Crown of spreading branches become rounded and irregular. Distinctive bark, becoming bright orange-brown and peeling in small flakes, darker on the main trunk and plated. This is a very elegant, broad, cone-shaped conifer with stiff, twisted needles hanging in clusters all over the branches. Growth Rate medium

A statuesque tree at maturity, it develops a spreading head with a sparsely branched trunk, effective for noticing the elegant, red-brown, papery bark. At every developmental stage, this tree is blanketed with twisted, blue-green needles set in pairs. Trouble free growth, adaptable to poor soil.
