Zn 6. Tiny Lavernder flowers. Fragrant foliage.
This little mint makes me happy. Its teeny tiny leaves emit the most delicious fragrance, and is such an easy plant to tuck into crevices or use as a carpet for taller plants in pots. It spreads, but it doesn't like to be dry. Less than an a 1/4" height.
Tiny green leaves give off an incredibly fresh minty fragrance when caressed. Minute lavender flowers appear in summer. Tolerates mild foot traffic. Excellent for planting between pavers or flag stones especially if coarse sand has been used to fill the gaps as Corsican mint appreciates good winter drainage. This is the mint used to make Creme de Menthe. If you don't have pavers plant one in a shallow pot to put on your patio table where you can carress if for its fabulous foliar fragrance!
