Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Three cheers for PERENNIAL Persian Everlasting Peas! Sumptuous, rich salmon-red, blooms & cute-as-a-button round leaves will happily climb 6-8' up a trellis blooming in Summer, it prefers rich well drained soil & a sunny spot. Dead-head to keep the flower show going as long as possible. Native to the Crimean Mountains in the Middle East, it's reportedly pretty drought tolerant once established. Wonderful cut flowers, but I'm sad to report it does not emit the same sweet scent as its L. odoratus cousins. Don't fret when you see die back, it's deciduous & this is completely normal. Bonus points for not being a thuggish perennial pea!
