Fritillaria uva-vulpis occurs in adjacent areas of Turkey, Iraq, and Iran. Known as fox's grape fritillary, it is an intriguing species with nodding, bell-shaped, purple to mahogany flowers overlain by pewter and golden yellow tips and interiors. The stems grow up to 12-18 inches. Prefers moist, peaty soil. Tolerant of shade.
