Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A VERY RARE heirloom from Russia. This medium sized beefsteak is dark red with green shoulders & green stripes running down the fruit. Very sweet & juicy. Reportedly melts in your mouth! ‘Arbuznyi’ means “watermelon” in Russian but folks disagree about whether that refers to the striped fruit or the shape of the leaves. Either way it’s bound to be yummy! Great for slicing or sauces. Great for cool season growers!
