Nursery contributed plant descriptions

We've had many requests to grow this white form of Scabiosa causcasica – our favorite, & the most popular “pincushion” species bar none. So here it is! Large, super frilly white flowers, spannng 3” or more, bloom almost year-round with diligent dead heading. Flowering stems grow to a foot or more, above a low foliage mound of narrow leaves. Butterflies & bees love the flowers, & they make a great cut flower as well. Free draining soil is highly recommended, as well as regular feedings. Divide the plant every few years to maintain vigor. Scabiosa caucausica is a species originally native to the Caucasus Mountains.
