Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Noted for its compact upright (to 12-15") branching habit AND for its long season (May-June, to Sept with deadheading) of deep-violet-blue (wonderful color!) flowers on upright spikes; container/border. S/M-D/GDr
A super easy Salvia that loves dry heat AND stays cute & compact! ‘Merleau Blue’ bursts with deep purple-blue blooms on upright spikes, 16” tall, from May through September, attracting bees & butterflies from all over the neighborhood. Give this guy a little bit of Summer water in dry Summer areas & deadhead occasionally to keep the show going strong. Drought tolerant, deer won’t touch it with a ten foot pole. A clumper, that sweetly grows only 12-16” high and 12-18” wide. Soil wise, it’s not fussy either, as long as drainage is decent. Great in containers, too!
