Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This striking South African bulb has lovely pink-red cup shaped petals with dramatic black & white markings on the inside. Growing only 6” or less tall, this is a great candidate for growing in a pot for up-close viewing of the large flowers. Being a South African bulb, this one will need to go dormant in the summer, & water should be withheld. Having them in a pot also allows you to put them away when dormant & bring the pot back out when the rains begin again. Blooms in early spring. Grassy foliage with surprisingly large flowers.
