Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A perfect tree for suburban gardens. This tree is very popular in South Africa & it quickly & easily tolerates wind & drought. Evergreen, graceful habit & neat crown – won’t get too big or untidy! Willowy evergreen, 12-25’ tall, forming a neat crown of gracefully drooping branches. Bark is pale & smooth, becoming flakey with age. The narrow lance-shaped leaves are a smooth & fresh bright green. Tiny green flowers are followed by red berries. Very drought tolerant after it establishes for a few years & quite suitable for xeriscaping!
