Exclusive! A sweetly scented & charming single auricula of our own choosing. 'Solar Flare' has deep chocolatey maroon flowers with a fiery golden outer ring. The center is golden yellow with a ring of white paste that may be perturbed by weather – we like it either way! Blooms show themselves much of the year here by the Bay – though elsewhere this cutie may only bloom in Spring. Like all auriculas, it likes good drainage, rich soil, average water, & a cool shady place. Well suited to pots & rockeries, where its handsome leaves will amass a foliage clump 6-8” high, & slightly wider in time. Honey-scented flowers perfume the air on warm days, & are very cute as cut flowers for petite flower arrangements.
