Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Our biggest, best yellow self! This is one of our own, named plants that we’ve enjoyed for many years in the nursery, & have finally propagated enough to share with you! The leaves are very mealy, & the eye has a rich ring of white paste, plus the flowering stems on this one are quite tall – up to a foot! It is an exceptionally fragrant plant, as are many Auriculas, & on a warm day the honey fragrance that emanates from the flowers is quite nice. In this area Auriculas are best as pot subjects, though they can also be grown in shady rockeries. They thrive in cool climes, & morning sun is their preferred exposure. An annual top dressing of compost in Spring should keep them happy & healthy.
