Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The petals of this charming double auricula primrose are shaded like the hues of a tropical drink! ‘Grenadine’ is one of our own selected seedlings from show-quality breeding stock. Rich, well draining soil & protection from the hot sun are all that’s required for auriculas to thrive. With time & care they can fill a medium sized terracotta pot with their handsome, succulent leaves. Blooming stems reach about a foot in height, honey-scented, & are great as cut flowers for petite arrangements. Best in places with cool summers like the Bay Area – they bloom almost year-round here - but they bloom best & most heavily in Spring.
