Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A clump of purple-tipped pinnate leaves undergirds soft pink flowers blooming May and into June. It enjoys a nice, acid woodland humus and is happy under conifers including pines - a native to middle elevation shady woodlands of the West Coast. Minimum temperature: -30?F
Typically delicate, attractive polemonium foliage, 2 feet tall or so, but this species bucks the trend of the species by going pink instead of white. Zone 4 - Joseph
Soft pinks, touched with apricot flowers are produced enmasse on 15"-18" bushy plants May into June on this rare Northern California native. It loves shade and survived the deer and acid soil under my friend Marion's pine trees. Very charming!
