    Plectranthus neochilus is a broadleaf evergreen perennial groundcover with green foliage. In fall, spring and summer purple flowers emerge. Features fuzzy texture. Grows well with sun - bright shade and even moisture - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

    Growing in 6” of soil spread over our asphalt parking lot, we can attest to the extreme indestructibility of this rugged groundcover. Drought tolerant, snail proof, deer resistant & aromatic, this South African perennial spreads rapidly to 3’ across. Blooms like crazy Spring thru Fall, creating a soft haze of attractive 3” spikelets. To 12” tall, it’s a smart choice for carefree edging in sun or shade & dry difficult spots. Be sure to give it decent drainage. Protect under 32°.
