Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This beautiful baby Bell Pepper produces boatloads of tiny, chunky fruits EARLY in the season, which means that (YES!) it’s an excellent pepper for our simmer-less Summers. ‘Doe Hill’ ripens to a beautiful golden orange, 1-2” high, 2-3” wide, which makes them look a bit like miniature pumpkins or persimmons. Fruits are thick walled, with a sweet, fruity flavor. Plants are compact & grow under 2’ tall. This heirloom pepper was developed before 1900 in Virginia. Space 20-24” apart & give ‘Doe Hill’ a warm spot & rich soil. 60 – 75 days.
