Our favorite new groundcover? RIGHT HERE! Pelargonium suburbanum makes a dense, low, flat mat of evergreen leaves, with trailing stems perfect for spilling over a rock wall or softening the edge of any garden bed. Clusters of 1” beautiful pink blooms with darker purple markings arise and bloom for months & months – starting in mid-winter & continuing into mid-summer or longer with deadheading. Where to plant? As long as you’ve got some sun, you’ve got your pick: it’s great for rockeries, hanging baskets, borders or pots. Perfect soil not required, but some circulation around the plant will keep it happy & it will thrive in well draining, rich garden soil. Drought tolerant, but a smidge extra water during the hot Summer months will help it look its best. From South Africa. Grows to 4” high (flowers included) & up to 3’ wide.
