Nursery contributed plant descriptions

‘Oregon Sugar Pod II’ snow pea has short 24-28” vines & can be grown trellised or just supported by brushy twigs. While large pea vines produce more peas, they require a tall sturdy trellis & shorter pea plants like ‘Oregon Sugarpod II’ are easier to protect from hungry birds. The dwarf peas still produce a huge number of 4” pods that should be harvested & eaten when the pods are flat, before the seeds form inside. Harvested young they are also stringless. Plant 2-3" apart in good garden soil & keep well watered. This wonderful variety has disease resistance against mildew, pea virus & common wilt.
