Flower buds are twisted in the bud stage & then unfold into large & glossy, star-shaped, deep pink flowers. The fun foliage is a fresh green color, the narrow leaves are thick & both leathery & velvety & point upwards. Native to the South African coast, it thrives under coastal conditions (including salt spray). Thrives in the garden, too, needing only composty, well drained soil & regular water.
