Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A delicately vertical presence in the Summer garden, Nepeta nuda fits in well with traditional gardens as well as in dry meadows of grasses & Asters. In spite of growing 2.5-4' tall, it is self-supporting. The lilac-pink flowers are popular with honey bees & can be cut back mid-season, extending the flower display. If the stems are not cut, there will still be some flowers all through Fall. The leaves of Nepetas (A.K.A. Catmints) are scented with oils attractive to many cats & you may need to protect the young plant against their affections.
