Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The rarest plant in the nursery!! This fantastic plant is from the island of Madeira, off the coast of North Africa. It makes a giant rosette of long, luxuriant, serrated leaves, from which eventually arises a huge, branching, pyramidal mass of very unusual flowers. The greenish yellow flowers- shown in the picture - are 2” across. Full height will be 5’ to 7.’ Very architectural and would be awesome in a large container. Musschia wollastonii naturally grows on cliffs in cool, foggy conditions and so, will love our coastal climate. After blooming, it will die but makes millions of seeds. Loves rich, well drained soil.
