Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Blooming profusely on many branched spikes & over a long period, this fragrant Moraea is one of the best in the genus for garden use. Each 2” bloom is dainty & yellow with fine markings. Bloom & growth are supposed to take place only in the Spring, but I’ve seen it growing & blooming into Summer if it continues to receive water (this species doesn’t seem over-particular about the calendar.) For a time, I thought it might be evergreen, but it does die back occasionally. Grows 2’ plus in height (up to 4’ max), with broad leaves that are around 2’ in length. With time, it will easily increase in a pot or in the ground. From South Africa. DEER RESISTANT??
