Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This hybrid monkey flower bears flowers that are just about as saturated a red as you can get in a flower! It blooms almost continually if kept watered, & is fairly small-growing to about 2’ high, & slightly less wide with dark green shiny leaves. Hummingbirds frequent the 1” flowers, & the plant can tolerate extremes of heat, & deer, though it’s a bit less drought tolerant than its wilder relatives. Still a very pretty, & pretty tough plant! If pruning drastically, leave a bit of green growth, please. Lean soil should be just fine! California Native.
