Lewisia was first discovered by Lewis and Clark and the genus' beauty has delighted for more than 200 years since. The lovely little evergreen succulent rosettes are adorned in late spring with clusters of peach flowers with orange and yellow highlights. Plants may rebloom later in the season. A native of alpine regions, Lewisia require good drainage and enjoy full to part sun. Plant them in containers, rock gardens and in the crevices of retaining walls.
Found in high altitude snowbeds in the Sierras, in dry scree.
A hybrid of Lewisia longipetala x cotyledon , this rock garden gem is perfect for nestling in a rocky crevice. be sure to amend the soil for good drainage. Narrow succulent petals compliment the lovely apricot peach blossoms. Blooms in early summer. 4-6" tall.
This wildflower GLOWS! with blended colors of soft peach, pink ; orange over deep-green succulent leaves; long spring bloom and more in fall!.. a gorgeous alpine for rock garden or dry area. SUN/Med-Dry/Good DRAINAGE
What a little peach! Sorry, I had to say it. But it really is an excellent Lewisia. It has heavy flower production & a long flowering season from May-June & again in September. The flower color is a gorgeous peach, blushed with pink & gold, like a romantic sunrise. Best in well-drained soil.
