Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Ladies and gentleman, may I present to you a sweet pea of great integrity, character, and charm! ‘Senator’ is an heirloom that was introduced by Eckford in 1891, with unusually large, maroon streaked white flowers – how distinguished! Like its old-timey cousins, ‘Senator’ is highly fragrant, and very heat tolerant. The blooms combine wonderfully in bouquets with softer hues like apricot & pink, and are especially picturesque in combination with old roses. This lovely flower has my vote! Rich soil is best, and make sure you plant your sweet peas early! Reseeds!
