Said to be the reddest ‘kniffy’ available..hybridized by Wol Stains in England…this is a dwarf perfect for the smaller garden! Grassy green foliage 12” topped by 2’ spikes or deep orangey red late summer thru fall – most soils, sun. Drought and heat tolt, deer resistant, loves the shore…demands little, gives a lot! One spiffy kniffy!
Meet one of the REDDEST Kniphofias in cultivation! It’s true, we love the MONSTER Kniphofias, but small gardens & small spaces need Kniphofias, too! This one has grassy green leaves & 2’ flowering spikes of deep orangey red from top to bottom. Kniphofias are remarkably tough & adaptable - tolerant of clay, heat, drought, deer, coastal conditions... just avoid waterlogged soils, occasionally bait for snails, clean out the foliage every once in a great while & the plants will do the rest! Occasional Summer water & a top-dressing of compost annually is recommended for best appearance. Blooms late Summer through Fall. Foliage grows to 1’ high & wide. Nice in a container! Bred by Wol Staines in England.
