Nursery contributed plant descriptions

I’ve been seeing these curious long-stemmed Kales at the florist & hankering to try them in the garden. Now I can! Woot! Apparently the thing to do is to start removing the lower leaves once the plants reach about 6” in height to exaggerate the “faux flower” effect. Once they reach 1’ in height, they will probably need staking. Ultimately each plant will grow from 2-4’ in height, with a 6” red-purple “rose” at the top of one unbranched stalk. Space plants at least 6” apart, in groups of 3-5 for maximum silliness.
