This monster of an Impatiens is tender, but how many summer annuals can you get that grow 4-6’ in one season?? Succulent stems are fast and branching tips are decorated with 2 ½” white flowers from pink buds all summer thru fall. Bright shade, AM sun, rich moist soil. Tip prune to maximize blooms!
I love this perennial Impatiens so much because it’s a champion when it comes to problem shade areas. With a nice, fast, 5’ x 6,’ shrub-like, rounded, evergreen form, it provides YEAR AROUND BLOOM with lotsa large, 3,” pure white flowers, excellent weed suppression & deer resistance! This photo shows ONE PLANT and me, so you can get an idea of the size. Not fussy about soil or root competition from trees, it lives forever just asking for water maybe once a week & a layer of compost annually to keep it really green. I prune mine back to 3’ in Winter for extra bushiness.
