Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A large, upright, quick growing, biennial or short lived perennial. Mounds of large, rounded, hairy leaves produce tall (2m) columns of double apricot flowers in Spring and Summer. Feed well and grow in well drained soil. Remove spent flower stalks to encourage further flowering or let some go to seed for sowing next year.

OK, she's not a perennial, but O-M-G, Ms. 'Apricot' sure makes up for it by bearing the most gorgeous Hollyhock flowers ever to grace a garden. 3-4” across & extremely double & held crowded to the stems. The flower could look kitschy if not for the 6-8' tall stalks they adorn or the color that MELTS YOUR HEART – soft pink blushed with glowing apricot. It you've never seen it, it is to die for! Here along the coast it blooms from June till Fall on 6-8' branching stalks. Blooms first year in California. Self sows!
