Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Now that you've spat all over your screen trying to pronounce this one, I'll let you in on the secret that the plant naming jerks giggle with each other about… The P is silent. Why is it there then? I’ve put this poor plant through every rough and tumble scenario and it just shrugs its shoulders and keeps on rolling. It pumps out masses of those butter yellow flowers all through the warm months. If hedging is your thing then this will tick that box too.
Practically ever-blooming, this extremely rare South African shrub is totally EASY to grow! About 3’ tall & 4’ across, it forms a lovely emerald green, softly textured, ferny, dense rounded form. A profuse bloomer beginning about mid Spring & lasting thru Fall, you’ll get a mass display of soft yellow flower clusters (1.5”) made up of small tubular blooms. A truly big bang for the buck! All you need is good drainage & a bit of compost once a year in Spring. Cut it back by 1/3 in Winter to maintain a nice compact form. A long blooming focal shrub for rock or succulent gardens & especially nice combined with true-blue Echium gentianoides & Euphorbia mellifera.
