An unusual form of one of our most unusual Fuchsias! For years we’ve offered a more softly colored form of Fuchsia splendens & perhaps its soft salmon is more your cup of tea, but for those who like a real RED, we have a special treat for you. ‘Pere Noel’ (that’s Father Christmas, en Francais) is a vibrant candy red with elfy-green tepals & is in fashion even out of season – blooming heaviest in the midst of Spring & Fall, but is often colorful though the Summer as well. Mite & disease resistant with rugged foliage. Fuchsia splendens also has some of the best tasting fruit of any Fuchsia! Hard frosts can damage the plant, but we’ve never lost one! They always pop back up come Spring. Grows around 3’x3’ – this clone seems a little bit more compact than our original offering. From the cloud forests of Southern Mexico.
