Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Our favorite heirloom strawberry with GOLDEN LEAVES! The super sweet fruit is still RED and keeps coming from June till October! 4¬8” tall and 12” wide, clumper not a runner...often reseeds if happy. Enjoys a lightly shaded location in hot areas, acidic soil with frequent water and bears the same year it is planted. Now as valued as a flashy perennial as it is for its fruits!
Zn 5. Lime green foliage. white flowers.
A delicious, runnerless, alpine strawberry that lights up the garden with its lime green-gold foliage. Makes an excellent contrast plant that stays neat & compact & looks good with almost anything. Excellent as edging & cute in pots, ‘Golden Alexandria’ bears bright red, roundish fruits from Summer till Fall and its flavor is sweeter than normal alpine strawberries. Rich soil is best, fertilize or give it compost once a year.
