Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Is there anything quite as fun as a flower the size of your head? We’re never going to grow these plants in huge numbers, so if you’re keen on having one, nab it now! Epiphyllums are epiphytic cactuses from Central & South America & are very easy to grow as house plants & can also be grown outdoors in pots in frost free areas. They need light fertilizer & low water & flower best when crowded. ‘Monastary Garden’ has 12” flowers that are predominantly pink with an orange blush to the interior. Blooms are short-lived, lasting barely a day, but certainly make up for their brevity with show!
