Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sutton's 1934 catalog lists 'Sutton's Seedling Belladonna,' a new seed variety described as pale blue. 'Cliveden Beauty' is a similar named heirloom that carries graceful sprays of sky-blue spikes in early summer. Gorgeous with pastel hollyhocks or apricot foxgloves. May rebloom in fall if cut back.
I count on this easy, vigorous & tougher than usual Delphinium for graceful, branched spikes bearing deep sky blue flowers Spring thru Fall. To 30” x 24” wide, it’s freely branching for multiple bloom spikes & doesn’t need staking – YAY! Cut spent spikes to ground for repeat bloom all season long. Nice cut flower! Rich soil. These guys are EASIER & LONGER LIVED than the traditional Delphinium elatums.
