Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This tree dahlia has great flowers. They are dark purple-magenta with a contrasting yellow center. A prolific bloomer, blooms in late summer or early winter, but supposedly earlier than Dahlia imperialis for those of you who are trying to grow (& get to bloom) tree dahlias in colder climates. Smaller than Dahlia imperials too. This one gets to be about 8-12’ tall & 6’ wide. The foliage has a nice purplish blush to it also. Protect new shoots from slugs. From Southern Mexico.
